Trisha Gilks

Osteopathic Practitioner D.O.M.P
Certified Athletic Therapist C.A.T.(C)

We are more than the sum of our parts.

Trisha graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor's in Athletic and Exercise therapy. She then went on to certify as a Athletic Therapist and Exercise Physiologist. She worked in Victoria for many years helping individuals recover from whiplash and head, neck and lower back injuries. A kid at heart, always asking why, she was interested in learning about the subtle workings of the body. In 2022, Trisha graduated from The Canadian School of Osteopathy (CSO) as an Osteopathic Practitioner.

As a practitioner, Trisha is both compassionate and down to earth with a firm belief in preventative health. She takes her time to understand your presenting health concerns and works with you to create lasting change in your body.
Assessment and treatments are designed to restore long-term mobility to problematic areas. Daily health and movement habits at home greatly support the clinical work.

I respectfully acknowledge that for thousands of years the Malahat, Lake Cowichan, Quw’utsun, Penelakut, Stz’uminus, Halalt and Lyackson Peoples have walked on these unceded territories
where I live, work and play.

I spend much of my time with a handful of close friends, family, my incredible husband Tyler

and my dog-son Marlin. As a highly sensitive person and Empath, the power of movement and meditation
is a necessary form of medicine for me.
In and outside of the clinic, I have strong passions for human anatomy, biomechanics,
 women’s health,
self-growth and nature including gardening.
I value and see both the inner and outer world as vast and interconnected.
Personally, Osteopathy has helped me through my own woman, growth, self-inquiry journey.
What I once thought of as accidents, losses, pitfalls and “messes” have led me to not only understand my body and my pain but to begin to thrive in both ease and harmony.
I am dedicated to sharing the healing potential of Osteopathy with you.
